Flight Server
L4SC is proposed to have its own flight simulator. It is a flight simulator with an entirely different concept.
For several years we have seen that the flight simulator games do not have all the functionality you require a cockpit builder. It also happens with others that are not necessary and left over for the builders.
We have seen no simulator is made thinking of the builders of cockpits. We watched as some simulators may include plugins or mechanisms to adapt to the cockpits, but none has been changed on the inside thinking about these needs.
The purpose of L4SC is to provide its customers a flight simulator designed 'specifically' for each cockpit, for each individual aircraft. A cockpit is not designed to fly different aircraft. So the simulator can be adapted to this airplane with much more precision than a generic simulator.
The name of L4SC simulator is FlightServer. For L4SC, the FlightServer provide flight data as well as the visual for the cockpit. Today FlightServer is a work in progress, in very advanced stages but not yet published. It is based on the popular simulator FlightGear which, once obtained the relevant licenses, we have changed, we added what we lack and we have removed all the excess. This simulator is an open source project under GNU license. It is really complete, it has nothing to envy in many respects to most commercial simulators.
We'll change the dynamics of flight to make them more realistic. We will add everything we need to L4SC modules are fully integrated. We will remove everything related to many modules that are not needed in a cockpit, and will adapt others to experience a cockpit builder is faithful and realistic.
Our customers are few, but very demanding. Our intention is that this demand is channeled to the quality of our projects. We can not imagine a 100% L4SC cabin where the core, the center, the simulator is not L4SC.
