L4SC Hwcfg

They are small applications that allow quick and easy configuration of hardware to run with L4sc modules.
At this time, there one of these applications for configuring a IOCards based Overhead, IOCard2Ovhd, that you can find on the L4sc downloads page.
The configuration has 4 simple steps:
1) detection of installed hardware. One step that allows us to configure the hardware used in 2 minutes.
2) Configuration of hardware components, switches, annunciators, gauges, etc.. The configuration is based on moving the corresponding elements or to indicate whether an element is active or not. It is not necessary to know either the inputs or outputs used, or knowing variable or offsets, simply identify the elements and act on them. Given the number of elements of the overhead in this step takes about half an hour, but will be fun and easy.
3)Review the errors in the configuration. We present a document of errors with the proposed resolution to correct them. 5 minutes if we have been careful.
4)Generate the file for SIOC. It generates a SIOC script that fully supports L4sc737Ovhd without writing a line.
In total, we have our overhead based on IOCards configured and ready to go in 45 minutes in an easy, simple and fun way.
We will develop the necessary applications when the hardware complexity renders it necessary, or provide the necessary scripts in case these are very simple or always the same.
